– Sport & Exercise Medicine Physician


Amandev Aulakh completed her sports and exercise medicine fellowship at the University of Ottawa in 2014. Prior to this, she completed her family medicine training at Women’s College Hospital through the University of Toronto (CCFP) and plans to practice both sports medicine and family medicine. She obtained her medical degree at Queen’s University. She also completed her Bachelor of Health Sciences and Master of Science in Health Research Methodology at McMaster University.

Through her fellowship, Dr. Aulakh was involved in coverage of the University of Ottawa women’s soccer team and the Carleton University women’s ice hockey team. She has also provided event coverage at the 2014 Canadian National Skating Championships, 2014 CIS Men’s Basketball Championships and the 2014 Canadian Gymnastics Championships.

Her volunteer experiences include:

• 2015 ISU World Synchronized Skating Championships

• 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup

• 2015 Pan Am Games (covering soccer)

• 2015 Para Pan Am Games (covering goalball, powerlifting and wheelchair rugby)

Dr. Aulakh enjoys playing soccer, running and yoga and was a member of the McMaster University field hockey team while completing her studies there.
