In addition to clinical work, Lisa is a registered instructor teaching courses in the Level system of the Ortho Division of the CPA. She has also lectured and taught practical sessions at University of Toronto and given numerous lectures at symposiums on topics such as running injuries and weight lifting shoulder injuries. She is involved as a mentor to both undergraduate and graduate physiotherapists.
Lisa uses a variety of treatment approaches including manual therapy and myofascial techniques, taping, movement re-education, exercise, sports and plyometric training. She is certified in medical acupuncture from McMaster University (member of the Canadian Academy of Medical Acupuncture) and is a registered ART provider (lower body).
Life experience has been part of Lisa’s greatest education. At a training camp at Michigan State University, she tore her knee ligaments and meniscus playing basketball. After having surgical complications that required more knee surgeries, she appreciates both the physical and mental impact that injuries can bring. The wisdom gained provides the basis for getting her patients back to their personal best.
