STEPHANIE VANNESTE
Registered Physiotherapist
MScPT, BHK, CSCS
Stephanie’s interest in pursuing a career as a Physical Therapist began at a young age while she was training at the National Ballet School of Canada and often found herself seeking treatment from therapists for various injuries over the 9 years she spent at the school. Her fascination with human anatomy, physiology and biomechanics grew from there and led her to study Human Kinetics at the University of British Columbia, majoring in Exercise Science.
While at UBC, Stephanie’s love for sports and exercise found her volunteering with both the varsity women’s field hockey and men’s rugby teams, as well as working as a spin instructor and fitness supervisor at the campus gym. Once she graduated from UBC, Stephanie moved back home to Toronto to obtain her Master of Science in Physical Therapy degree from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto. While studying at University of Toronto Stephanie revisited her love for dance and performed in the Faculty of Medicine’s annual Daffydil production for 2 years.
Stephanie has completed the Level 1 exam with the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association; the Level 1, Part 3 Acupuncture Program through the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute; and she is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Stephanie plans to pursue her Manual Therapy levels as well as obtain her Sports Physiotherapy designation in the future.
