Leah graduated with a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy from Queen’s University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from Dalhousie University. While studying at Dalhousie Leah volunteered as an athletic trainer with the St. Mary’s University Women’s Varsity Hockey team. This, on top of her personal sport experience, is where her interest in sports injury management began. This interest grew further during her Master’s when she completed an international clinical placement in Melbourne Australia, having the chance to work with unique athletes from various levels.
Originally from Nova Scotia, Leah has moved to Toronto to grow in her career as a Physiotherapist. She enjoys treating numerous populations, especially weekend warriors, young athletes, and pregnant/postpartum moms. Finding ways to work closely with her patients, getting them back to what they enjoy, is vital to her treatment plan. She likes to take a holistic approach to her care, considering all components essential for recovery.
Leah feels that an evidence-based approach to treatment is fundamental and loves learning new skills and knowledge to integrate into her practice. She is currently pursuing post-graduate training in pelvic health and vestibular rehab.
She enjoys participating in an active lifestyle consisting of running, weight training, yoga and soccer. In her spare time, Leah loves spending time with friends, traveling, exploring new cafés and trying new foods.
