Pivot Fit

(for men & women)

This class is 60 minutes of high-intensity metabolic conditioning focused on purposeful movements and neuromuscular training. It Includes a comprehensive dynamic warm up with core and glute activations as well as a cool down stretch sequence. This class is for anyone striving to gain muscular strength while challenging their cardiovascular endurance. This class is ideal for those who enjoy pushing themselves physically!

9:15am – 10:15am

Pivot She

(women only)

This class is all about empowering women! Build strength and stability in an intimate, supportive class structure to move through the rest of the day with power, ease and grace. Join us for 60 minutes of fundamental and purposeful movement patterns combined with neuromuscular training!
Ensuring proper form and a clear understanding of the movements FIRST before we put it all together in a metabolic circuit format.
This class is a great way to support yourself and affirm your capability, all while fostering a sense of community.

Strength and Stability

(For men & women)

This class is all about stability!
Learn how to properly engage your entire core, including your pelvic floor, and improve motor control to help with balance all while improving your mobility!
The focus is on reconditioning muscles to help eliminate dysfunction and promote pain free living as well as strengthening exercises to aid in recovery and improve overall movement quality.
Our small classes allow our coaches to work with each participant so no matter if you’re recovering from surgery, dealing with arthritis or living with chronic pain- this class is for you!

Instructors

ERIKA LABINOWICZ

Registered Kinesiologist

Erika has completed her Bachelors of Kinesiology at the University of Toronto and her strong understanding of anatomy, biomechanics, physiology, exercise prescription and ethical standards to our team. The comprehensive foundation prepared Erika for her entry-level board exam and she was welcomed into the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario as an active general member.

Over the last 4 years she’s worked as a personal trainer teaching many high intensity metabolic conditioning group classes, kettle bell introductory classes and one-on-one sessions with personalized periodized programs.
Erika’s sports history includes volleyball, competitive soccer and rugby. Throughout her rugby career she experienced 12 concussions. Through the rehabilitative process and over-coming this injury she gained insight into which help her connect with her clients and encourage them to invested in their unique process towards health and wellness goals

Erika is passionate about teaching individuals fundamental and purposeful movement patterns that translate into strength, grace, balance and ease in their everyday life. She believes in a holistic training approach and strives to create a safe, challenging and ultimately enjoyable experience.

DERICK TONIN

Certified Personal Trainer/ Registered Massage Therapist

Derick graduated from the Fitness and Health Promotion Program at Fanshawe
College where he became a Certified Personal Trainer through the Canadian Society of Exercises Physiology. He then went on to become a Registered Massage Therapist through the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario.
Derick has an extensive background in playing competitive hockey. He currently serves as team trainer for the Thamesford Trojans Jr. C Hockey Club where he uses his skills in sports specific training and massage therapy to carry out effective warm up/cool downs; as well as, manual techniques and mobility work for the team before and after games.

He is currently working at Think Fitness as a Fitness Coach using a performance based training style acquired from 4 years working with many different clients from all sports and fitness levels to help them reach their true potential. His philosophy is that everyone should train like an athlete. Derick is determined to continually learn and expand his skills as a Personal Trainer and Massage Therapist. He is highly motivated to help his clients meet their individualized goals.
