Dr. Dion Diep is a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physician with a focused interest in sport and musculoskeletal medicine. His practice focuses on the assessment and treatment of common sport, exercise, muscle, tendon, joint, and nerve-related injuries, with an emphasis on helping patients stay active and return to the activities they enjoy. He has a special interest in ultrasound-guided procedures, including injections such as viscosupplementation and platelet-rich plasma for select soft tissue and joint conditions.
Dr. Diep completed medical school and residency training at the University of Toronto and is currently completing an Interventional Spine and Musculoskeletal fellowship at McMaster University. He also holds certification in Sports Medicine through the Canadian Academy of Sport and Exercise Medicine and EMG certification through the Canadian Society of Clinical Neurophysiologists.
Dr. Diep has provided medical coverage at a variety of sporting events, including local, provincial, national, and international competitions. His experience includes boxing events such as the Brampton Cup, the Canadian Boxing Championships, and the European Games, as well as multisport events including the Pan Am Games and Ontario Parasport Games.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Diep is an active amateur boxer and enjoys staying involved in the sports community both as a physician and as an athlete. Having grown up in Toronto’s west end, Dr. Diep is excited to care for patients in the same community that shaped him.”
