Jeremy Williams, BHK, C. Ped (C)
Canadian Certified Pedorthist Custom Orthotics Foot Pain Sports Orthotics Knee BracingJeremy Williams is a Canadian Certified Pedorthist in Toronto, seeing patients at Pivot Sport Medicine & Orthopaedics in both Bloor West Village and Etobicoke/Lakeshore West. He specializes in custom foot orthotics, therapeutic footwear and custom knee bracing for active adults, athletes and people experiencing foot, ankle, knee or lower-limb pain.
With more than 15 years of clinical experience in orthopedic and sport medicine settings, Jeremy helps patients understand how their feet, footwear and lower-limb biomechanics may be contributing to pain or limiting their ability to walk, run, train or participate in sport.
Custom Foot Orthotics in Toronto Jeremy takes a patient-first approach based on a simple principle: no two patients are the same.
Before recommending custom orthotics, footwear or bracing, he completes an individualized pedorthic assessment and takes the time to understand each patient’s symptoms, activity demands, footwear, lifestyle and goals.
A pedorthic assessment can be particularly helpful for people experiencing foot and heel pain, plantar fasciitis, arch pain, knee pain, lower-limb alignment concerns or recurring problems with walking, running and sport.
When custom foot orthotics are appropriate, Jeremy designs them around the individual patient’s biomechanics, footwear and activity requirements rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.
Sports Orthotics & Running Injuries Jeremy has a particular interest in helping runners, athletes and active individuals stay active.
For athletes, an orthotic assessment considers more than the foot alone. Jeremy evaluates how the foot and lower limb function during movement and how factors such as footwear, training demands and biomechanics may be contributing to symptoms.
As part of the multidisciplinary team at Pivot Sport Medicine & Orthopaedics, Jeremy can collaborate with physiotherapists, sport medicine physicians and other members of the rehabilitation team when a patient’s foot or lower-limb concerns are part of a larger injury or return-to-sport plan.
Jeremy also provides custom knee brace assessment and fitting for people managing knee injuries, instability, osteoarthritis and other conditions where additional support may be beneficial.
The goal is to find a bracing solution appropriate for the individual’s condition, anatomy, activities and goals—whether that means making everyday activities more manageable or supporting a return to recreational or competitive sport.
Jeremy holds a Bachelor of Human Kinetics (BHK) and a Diploma as an Orthotic/Prosthetic Technician. After earning his Canadian Certified Pedorthist designation in British Columbia, he developed his expertise working in orthopedic and bracing clinics before returning to Ontario and joining the Pivot team.
