Dr Lee Schofield (he/him) is a Family Physician with a focused practice in sport and exercise medicine since 2010. Lee completed his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Toronto, followed by his Family Medicine residency and PGY3 in Sport & Exercise Medicine at U of Toronto. Lee has worked at PIVOT since 2010 and now splits his time between our two locations!
As part of his Sport & Exercise Medicine practice, Lee works with all patients of all ages and abilities in the community with various activity-related injuries. This includes assessment and examination of musculoskeletal, neurological, and concussion related injury. He has an interest in endurance sports, as well as soccer & figure skating related performance and injury assessment. He also has extensive experience as a family physician in low-risk obstetrics, and has an interest in physical activity in pregnancy, post-partum and beyond in women’s health. Lee also has interest in LGBTQ2+ participation in sport, and access to sport for these individuals.
Lee has previously worked as a team physician with Skate Canada (figure skating), Cycling Canada, and was the Physician Lead for the Canadian Women’s National Soccer Team from 2019-2025. He has worked at various sporting events, including Canada Games, FISU Winter/Summer University Games, and the Pan-American Games. He was the co-Chief Medical Officer for the Toronto Invictus Games in 2017. Lee had the privilege to travel to 5 Olympic Games with Team Canada in various roles and was the physician with the gold medal winning Canadian Women’s Soccer Team at Tokyo 2020.
Dr. Schofield has also served on the board for both the Ontario Medical Association (OMA) and the Canadian Academy of Sport & Exercise Medicine (CASEM).
