Be as tall as you can be
Stand tall, sit tall, just always feel tall. If you try to be as tall as you can be you will automatically use postural muscles to align your spine. Whenever possible, take a moment to slowly stretch your body. Extend your arms overhead and reach as far as you can, while also pointing your toes and stretching your legs. This gentle movement helps to release tension, increases blood circulation, and promotes flexibility. Click here to learn more about back health.
Keep a large cup of water beside your bed
When you wake up in the morning, drink the water. After several hours of sleep without water, your body needs hydration to kickstart its systems. Drinking water helps to rehydrate your cells, flush out toxins, and jumpstart your metabolism. This not only starts you off on the right track for drinking your recommended 8 cups of water a day but it front loads your bladder for healthy emptying habits. Walking on Sunshine
Spending time outdoors in the morning exposes you to natural light and fresh air, which can have numerous benefits for your physical and mental health. Take a short walk around your neighborhood, spend a few minutes in your backyard or balcony, or simply open your windows to let in the sunlight and breeze. Natural light helps regulate your body’s internal clock, signaling to your brain that it’s time to wake up and be alert. Exposure to sunlight also boosts vitamin D production, enhances mood, and improves sleep quality, contributing to overall health and well-being.
