Resident Physiotherapist
Ebuka Osuji completed his Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences at McMaster University with a minor in Biology graduating with Honours. Following completion of his bachelor’s degree, he earned a research-based Master of Science in Pathology (One Health Specialization) at Western University where he investigated the relationship between mental health and outcomes in Cardiac Rehabilitation and Secondary Prevention Programs. During his time as Western, he gained valuable experience researching the bidirectional relationship between exercise and mental health. Following his time at Western, Ebuka earned a Master of Science in Physiotherapy at McMaster University.
Throughout this degree, he worked with a variety of patient populations including but not limited to stroke, spinal cord, intensive-care/trauma, and orthopedic patients in various settings. Ebuka has also working with various committees under the School of Rehabilitation Sciences (SRS), including the AnatoME project, where he worked as a research assistant to explore the relationship between skin tone diversity and clinical assessment in healthcare. These unique opportunities have given him insight on the importance of delivering both evidence-based and patient-centred care.
Ebuka currently holds a part-time role as an Assistant Clinical Professor (Adjunct) with SRS at McMaster University. As a recent graduate, Ebuka is looking forward to completing courses in manual therapy and vestibular rehabilitation. In his spare time, Ebuka enjoys playing and watching sports with friends and travelling!
