Melissa Huynh is a dedicated and compassionate physiotherapy resident who blends her strong academic background with a genuine commitment to helping patients. Growing up, she had a love for sports, especially volleyball, which sparked her interest in movement and how the human body works. This curiosity naturally led her to pursue a career in physiotherapy, where she’s able to channel her knowledge into improving the well-being of her patients. For her undergraduate studies, she earned her Bachelor with Honours Specialization in Health Sciences and a Minor in Rehabilitation Sciences from Western University. Building on her knowledge, Melissa continued on to complete her Masters of Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto. Throughout this degree, she’s had the experience of working in a variety of settings, including orthopedic patients, stroke patients, and spinal cord injuries. With a patient-centered approach, Melissa takes the time to understand each individual’s unique needs, ensuring that her treatment plans are tailored to help you reach your goals—whether you’re recovering from an injury, managing chronic pain, or aiming to improve your physical performance. Melissa believes in blending hands-on techniques, exercise, and education to create well-rounded treatment plans. She’s committed to staying current with evidence-based practices and is excited to further her knowledge through additional courses as she continues her physiotherapy journey. Outside of the clinic, you’ll often find Melissa experimenting with new recipes, enjoying concerts, or exploring the hidden gems of Toronto. She’s ready to help you on your path to recovery and a healthier lifestyle!
