Resident Physiotherapist
Abbey grew up in Oakville, Ontario, where she was a competitive dancer with the Canadian Dance Company from a young age. Her own experiences with injury and rehabilitation sparked her early interest in physiotherapy and the impact it can have on recovery and performance. Abbey continued to pursue this passion during her undergraduate studies at McMaster University, where she earned her Honours Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. While at McMaster, she was a member of the varsity dance team and served as the team’s Conditioning Coordinator for two years, further developing her skills in exercise programming, injury prevention, and performance optimization.
Following her undergraduate degree, Abbey worked as a Physiotherapy Assistant in orthopedic private practice, gaining valuable hands-on experience supporting patients through exercise-based rehabilitation, education, and treatment progression. She then went on to complete her Master of Physical Therapy at Western University, where she gained diverse clinical experience through placements in sports medicine, inpatient rehabilitation, acute care, and community health.
Abbey’s approach to physiotherapy emphasizes individualized, evidence-based care that empowers patients to play an active role in their recovery. She is passionate about helping individuals of all ages achieve their goals, whether that means returning to sport, optimizing daily function, or preventing injury.
Outside of work, Abbey enjoys weightlifting, running, yoga, and Pilates. She also has a soft spot for teaching and mentoring young dancers. To her, movement is more than exercise, it’s a way to feel strong, confident, and connected.
